Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Survivors of flash floods and landslides in Balee Panah Village, Juli District, Bireuen, Aceh, appealed on Sunday (7/12/2025) for President Prabowo Subianto’s support to rebuild homes swept away by rising river waters.

“We don’t know where to live now—our house is gone. Please help us, even with a temporary shelter,” said survivor Sulamunhadi after receiving aid during the President’s visit to the evacuation site, as reported by antaranews.com

President Prabowo met displaced families, inspected conditions, and tasted meals prepared in the emergency kitchen. Residents described how the Teupin Mane riverbank collapsed on 25 and 26 November 2025, destroying houses within hours. Many survivors managed to save only a few belongings before fleeing.

Another resident, Jasmani, said her extended family also lost their homes and hoped the government would provide permanent assistance. In response to these pleas, President Prabowo pledged state support, saying that reconstruction funds had been prepared.
