inp.polri.go.id – Palu. The Central Sulawesi Regional Police ordered all of his personnel to tighten the monitoring at border areas to help prevent the spread of Mouth and Nail Diseases (FMD).
The National Police, together with 19 regional police throughout Indonesia, held a Police Operation with the codename of Aman Nusa II, on Monday 4 July 2022
Head of Public Relations of the Central Sulawesi Police, Police Commissioner Didik Supranoto, revealed that the Central Sulawesi Regional Police were not included in the 19 Regional Police involved in the implementation of the Aman Nusa II operation which was held for 30 days, because no FMD cases were found in the Central Sulawesi region.
“In the Central Sulawesi Province, no cases of FMD have been detected in our livestock, whether cattle, buffalo, sheep, or pigs. And that is why the National Police does not include the Central Sulawesi Regional Police in the Aman Nusa II Operation," said the Central Sulawesi Police Intermediate Officer.
Despite that, the Central Sulawesi Police stays vigilant in anticipating the spread of FMD.
Police Commissioner Didik Supranoto added that all Bhayangkara Security Unit (Bhabinkamtibmas) shouldo provide education and information regarding the risks of FMD to the public.
