inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) of Puncak Jaya has murdered two online-motorcycle taxi drivers in Weni Village, Mageabume District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua on November 21st, 2024 at 13.00 pm.
Head of Damai Cartenz Ops, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, confirmed the unfortunate incident.
“We have confirmed that there were two murders against two civilians, both are online motorcycle taxi drivers, in Weni Village, Puncak Regency, Central Papua on Thursday November 21st, 2024 at 13.00 pm,” says Faizal.
The Head of Damai Cartenz Ops Public Relations Task Force, Senior Superintendent Bayu Suseno, on the other hand, reveals the chronology of the murder.
On November 21st, 2024, at 13.30 pm, following the murder, a witness with the initials of TT saw KALENAK MURIB who is a member of the Armed Criminal Group, was attacking the two victims with the other members. They attacked with guns and machetes.
“Witnessing the horrifying incident, TT immediately went to Sinak District. Upon his arrival in Sinak District, TT told the incident to witness P and at around 16.30 pm, P inform the incident to Sinak Sector Police HQ,” convey Bayu.
Furthermore, Bayu reveals the two victims identities to be IMRAN and ASRUN EKO PUTRA. Imran was from Gowa and ASrun was from North Gai Esong.
Bayu added that the victim's bodies have not been retrieved yet because road access is not possible due to the connecting bridge between Sinak District and Mageabume District being cut off.
