The Special Detachment Team (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Indonesian National Police on May 28, 2021 managed to arrest a suspected terrorist with the initials SP (33) who was arrested in Balikpapan. The terrorist suspected of being involved in the Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) network. Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karo Penmas) of the Indonesian National Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General. Pol. Rusdi Hartono, conveyed that it was the suspicion that led to SP being arrested by the Special Detachment 88 Anti-terror team of the Police on May 28, 2021. The one-star general said that SP's arrest coincided with the arrest of 11 suspected JAD terrorists in Merauke, Papua. Allegedly, SP is also the same network with terrorists in Merauke. "(The perpetrator was arrested) at the same time as the arrest in Merauke. It is suspected that the JAD network was involved," explained Karo Penmas, Divhumas Polri.
