Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. State toll road operator PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded a sharp 31.37 percent increase in traffic on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road as holidaymakers traveled east for the Lunar New Year.
Between 13 and 15 February 2026, approximately 119,532 vehicles passed through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate toward the Trans Java route, significantly exceeding the normal volume of 90,987 vehicles.
“We anticipate the peak of the return flow to occur this Tuesday, with an estimated 39,379 vehicles heading back toward Jakarta,” said JTT Corporate Secretary Ria Marlinda Paallo on Monday (16/2/2026), as reported by antaranews.com
To mitigate potential gridlock, JTT has optimized toll booths and deployed additional field personnel in coordination with the Indonesian National Police (INP).
Authorities expect a 53.75 percent surge compared to typical traffic levels as the long weekend concludes. Travelers are advised to ensure sufficient electronic toll balances and check vehicle conditions to maintain smooth mobility across the Trans Java network during the final phase of the holiday period.
