Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The South Jakarta Immigration Office and the Jakarta Military Police Command, detained two foreigner for allegedly abusing their stay permits.
The detention took place during a raid on a nightclub in the Kuningan area early Sunday morning. The suspects include a Chinese citizen working as a DJ, identified as ZS, and a Thai citizen working as a dancer identified as KS.
"During the operation, officers detained them at a nightlife venue in Kuningan," said Winarko, the Head of the South Jakarta Immigration Office, on Tuesday (17/2/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the Chinese DJ entered the country on a Visa on Arrival (VoA), while the Thai dancer utilized Visa-Free Entry (BVK), neither of which permits professional entertainment work.
Beyond violating Article 122 of Law No. 6/2011 on Immigration, officials noted the venue may have served as a gathering point for activities inconsistent with local social norms. Both of them are currently facing administrative immigration actions, including potential deportation and blacklisting.
