Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in Bali has deported an Italian foreign national identified as LS for committing an indecent act in the yard of a residence in the Seminyak area of Badung Regency.
"Based on a recommendation from the police, we deported the offender LS," said Sugito, the Head of Ngurah Rai Immigration, to reporters in Denpasar on Monday (25/9/2023).
The 35-year-old Italian man was deported through the Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, heading to Kuala Lumpur, then Doha (Qatar), and Rome, Italy.
Based on immigration entry data, LS entered Indonesia on September 4, 2023, through Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, using a visa on arrival (VOA) that was applicable until October 3, 2023.
Immigration charged Article 75 paragraph 1 of Law Number 6 of 2011 on Immigration, which carries the penalty of deportation, and LS's name was listed in the immigration blacklist.
According to Article 102 paragraph 1 of the same law, the maximum duration of the blacklist is six months, and it can be extended for a maximum of six months each time.
On September 9, 2023, LS and a woman, believed to be his girlfriend, were caught in the act while engaging in sexual activity in a Seminyak residence's yard. The indicent action was captured by the homeowner's security camera and subsequently went viral on social media.The Italian national was arrested on September 23, 2023, and trasnferred to Ngurah Rai Immigration for deportation.
In 2023, a total of 227 foreign nationals were deported from Bali for various offenses, including the misuse of stay permits, overstaying their visas, involvement in criminal activities, and violations of Indonesian laws and norms.
