inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. Bali Vice Governor I Nyoman Giri Prasta emphasized that there is no need for community organizations from outside Bali to guard Bali.
Giri conveyed this in response to the emergence of the Gerakan Rakyat Indonesia Bersatu (GRIB) Jaya mass organization in Bali.
"I emphasize once again that if an outsider mass organization declares that they want to guard Bali, I think it is not necessary at this time," he said.
The Vice Governor of Bali sees there is no urgency for the presence of mass organizations from outside Bali, because Bali is already guarded by state security apparatus, such as Indonesian National Military and Indonesian National Police, and there are more than 1,400 pecalang or security forces that have been formed in villages.
"Well, the Pecalang of this traditional village have a role to maintain the aesthetics of the region itself and this has been stated in the decision of the Bali Provincial Government to establish Bakamda (traditional village security assistance)," he said.
Giri Prasta reminded that through Bakamda, collaboration has been established between state security apparatus and indigenous community elements, so that they will maintain the security and comfort of Bali.
Furthermore, the Bali Provincial Government is even preparing a plan to provide incentives for pecalang as a form of concern and support as the elements that guard Bali.
It is known that a video of the inauguration of the Chairman of the GRIB Jaya Mass Organization Yosef Nahak which was also attended by the General Chairman of the GRIB Jaya DPP Hercules Rosario is circulating on social media. A video is also circulating that the mass organization has formed the Tabanan Regency DPC.
