PM Albanese Chose Indonesia to His First Official Visit Following His Election Winning

inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto to fulfill the request of Australian Prime Minister (PM) Anthony Albanese who wanted Indonesia as his first official visit destination after winning the election and being re-elected as prime minister.

PM Albanese expressed his desire to visit Indonesia when he received congratulations from President Prabowo via telephone, Sunday (4/5).

"I want Indonesia to be my first visit," said PM Albanese to President Prabowo as quoted from the official broadcast of President Prabowo Subianto's Media Team in Jakarta, Sunday night.

President Prabowo also welcomed the request, and the President also stated that he was honored to hear PM Albanese's request.

In their conversation, Anthony Albanese also talked about his tiring election process and told Prabowo that he had not slept for several days.

President Prabowo responded by considering Albanese's victory a historic event, because Albanese became Australia's first prime minister to serve two consecutive terms in the last 21 years.

PM Albanese was re-elected after winning a landslide victory in the Australian election. Albanese also became the first prime minister in Australia to be elected for a second time in the last 21 years.

Thus, PM Albanese will again lead Australia for the next 3 years.

The Labor Party, led by Albanese, also controls the majority of seats, namely 87 seats out of a total of 150 seats in parliament.
