The Head of Law Enforcement Task Force of Agung Safety Operations, Police Assistant Superintendent Loduwyk Tapilaha announced that the operation officially begins on March 4th, 2024 and will be operated for 14 days until March 17th, 2024. “The 2024 Safety Operation is operated simultaneously across Indonesia from March 4th to March 17th, 2024,” said Loduwyk on Monday (3/4/2024). The traffic violations that will be the focus of the operation includes using a cellphone while driving and underaged drivers. Then, carrying more than one passenger on a motorcycle, not wearing helmets, not wearing seatbelts, drunk driving, exceeding the speed limit, riding against traffic flow, using exhaust pipes that do not comply with specifications, overloaded or oversized vehicles (ODOL), and unauthorized use of signal lights (strobes) and sirens. “We implore the public who used the two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles to complete their vehicle documents and comply with the traffic lights, road signs, and traffic officials in the field,” implore Loduwyk.
