inp.polri.go.id - Bandung Police has succeeded in uncovering the largest narcotics trafficking case in Bandung Regency. A suspect who is the head of a motorcycle gang with the initials RR (30) was also arrested.
Bandung Police Chief, Commissioner Kusworo Wibowo, said that the disclosure of the methamphetamine drug case, which is suspected to be carried out by the head of a motorcycle gang, is part of the development into the case that was uncovered last June.
"It was revealed that the circulation of a gram of methamphetamine was circulated by a motorcycle gang network. This disclosure is a follow-up investigation from the case we revealed back in June,” explained the Bandung Police Chief.
According to the Bandung Police Chief, with evidence weighing 3 kilograms of methamphetamine obtained from the suspect (RR), this becomes the largest drug trafficking case in the Bandung Regency area.
“The suspect employs minors through a network of motorcycle gangs he leads in distributing methamphetamine," he explained.
The Bandung Police Chief is still developing this case, including exploring the circulation network. He also emphasized that he would not hesitate to take action against anyone who violated the law.
"For his actions, the suspect (RR) was charged with Article 114 subsidiary 115 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of life imprisonment or a maximum of 20 years in prison," he explained.
