Inp.polrigo.id - Serang. Banten Regional Police arrested nine persons who provoked homecomers to jointly break the police insulation post to Merak Port, Cilegon, Banten. The Chief of Banten Regional Police, Police Inspector General Rudy Heriyanto Adi Nugroho explained that the nine people arrested were the WA admin of the two-wheeled homecomer group. “We had to arrest the nine provocateurs through dozens of two-wheels homecomer WA group to Lampung,” as stated by Rudy Heriyanto Adi Nugroho, Wednesday (05/19/21). He said the nine people provoked homecomers in Bekasi, Cikarang, Tangerang, and Jakarta, who headed to Sumatera. “If each group has 200-300 people, imagine how many motorbikes. The ones who got arrested was the group admin,” as explained by the two-star general. The action was carried out in anticipation of an attempt to forcefully break the insulation post destined to Merak Port, Banten. In addition, the Banten Regional Police also applied a split pattern in order to break the mass concentration of two-wheeled homecomers at their gathering points. Currently, the nine admins of the WhatsApp group are suspected in violating Article 160 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 on Health Quarantine in conjunction with Banten Provincial Regulation Number 1 of 2021.
