inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Indonesia has set the amount of zakat fitrah for 1447 Hijri/2026 AD at IDR 50,000 per person, equivalent to 2.5 kilograms or 3.5 liters of premium rice.

Baznas Chairman Noor Achmad stated that the determination was made after a thorough study, taking into account rice price fluctuations in various regions in Indonesia.

"After a thorough study and careful consideration, Baznas has set the zakat fitrah amount at IDR 50,000 per person and the fidiah amount at IDR 65,000 per person per day, in accordance with Baznas Chairman Decree Number 14 of 2026," explained the Baznas Chairman on Thursday (2/5/2026).

He explained that the zakat fitrah and fidiah amounts are the amounts paid through Baznas. This provision is expected to serve as a uniform guideline for managing zakat fitrah during Ramadan 1447 Hijri.

"Provincial Baznas, district/city Baznas, and zakat collection institutions (LAZ) can use the zakat fitrah and fidiah amounts as a reference for revenue in their respective regions," said Chairman Noor

However, he stated that there is room for adjustment if there is a significant difference in rice prices in a region.

"Under these circumstances, regional Baznas and LAZ are permitted to determine the zakat fitrah and fidiah amounts independently, as long as they comply with Islamic law and applicable laws and regulations," Chairman Noor said.

With this determination, he hopes that the management of zakat fitrah and fidiah in the upcoming Ramadan will be more orderly, transparent, and have a real impact on the welfare of beneficiaries.

With the enactment of this decree, the Decree of the Chairman of Baznas Number 14 of 2025 concerning the Value of Zakat Fitrah and Fidyah for the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi Regions in 2025 is revoked and declared null and void.
