Bengkulu Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Mardiyono, attended the launch of the Golden Migrant Village and the Anti-Human Trafficking (TPPO) Declaration in Bengkulu Province at the invitation of the Governor of Bengkulu. The event was held at the Sportatorium of Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu (UMB) on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
During the event, General Mardiyono led a joint declaration by the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (FKPD), the community, and the Ministry of P2MI (Indonesian Women and Children Empowerment and Child Protection) regarding their commitment to preventing and eradicating the illegal placement of Indonesian migrant workers and trafficking. The event also included the launch of the Golden Migrant Village in 2025 and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the parties.
The Minister of P2MI took this opportunity to present awards to parties who have actively contributed to the protection of migrant workers. He also provided guidance and promoted employment opportunities abroad.
This activity is expected to raise awareness and a shared commitment to preventing and eradicating human trafficking in Bengkulu Province. The event proceeded safely, orderly, and smoothly.
