inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has temporarily suspended the operations of 1,512 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) in Region II (Java Island) as a follow-up to an evaluation of compliance with operational standards and the completeness of facilities and infrastructure.
BGN Region II Director of Monitoring and Supervision, Albertus Dony Dewantoro, stated that this measure is part of an effort to improve the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG) services to ensure all operational facilities meet the established health, sanitation, and governance standards.
"We have temporarily suspended the operations of 1,512 SPPGs. This is a follow-up to an evaluation of compliance with operational standards and facility and infrastructure requirements at a number of SPPGs," said Dony on Wednesday (3/11/2026).
Based on evaluation data, 1,512 SPPGs temporarily suspended operations across several provinces in Region II. These include 50 in Jakarta, 62 in Banten, 350 in West Java, 54 in Central Java, 788 in East Java, and 208 in Yogyakarta.
Dony explained that the temporary suspension was imposed because several SPPGs failed to meet several basic operational requirements, including a lack of a Hygiene Sanitation Certificate (SLHS).
The evaluation revealed that 1,043 SPPGs had not yet registered for this certificate. Furthermore, BGN found that 443 SPPGs lacked standard Wastewater Treatment Plants (IPAL).
Another issue identified was the lack of accommodation for SPPG heads, nutritionists, and accountants in several service units. This situation has affected 175 SPPGs, with 36 in Banten, 86 in Yogyakarta, 24 in West Java, 10 in Central Java, and 19 in East Java.
BGN will also provide assistance and verification to affected units to ensure they promptly complete the necessary requirements.
"The temporarily suspended SPPG operations will be gradually reopened once all operational requirements and established standards have been met," said Dony.
