Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. Bali’s National Narcotics Agency (BNN) arrested two Kazakh men for their alleged role in a Russian-run international drug syndicate.
The suspects, identified as GT (28) and IM (35), were detained in Batuan Sukawati, Gianyar Regency, with 30 packages of methamphetamine (49.18 grams total) seized as evidence.
“These two foreigner were working under a Russian drug boss believed to be operating from outside Indonesia. Their target market was foreign tourists in Bali,” said BNN Bali Chief Brigadier General. Rudy Ahmad Sudrajat on Monday (12/5/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The arrest followed suspicious behavior observed near a roadside in Gianyar, where one suspect was seen searching for hidden items while the other waited on a running motorbike.
The operation also revealed that the drugs were distributed under instructions from a person known only by the alias “EVIL,” whose whereabouts are still under investigation.
