Inp.polri.go.id - Bogor. The Bogor Sub-regional Police will implement a Car-Free Night policy in Puncak, West Java, during New Year’s Eve celebrations to manage traffic in the popular tourist area.
“Traffic management will include a Car-Free Night starting at 6 pm. Vehicles heading to Puncak from the Ciawi Toll Gate will be redirected to Ciawi,” said Bogor Police Traffic Chief Assistant Senior Inspector Rizky Guntama Ganda Permana on Monday (16/12/2024), as quoted by antaranews.com..
Unlike last year’s policy that lasted until 6 am, this year’s Car-Free Night will end at 2.30 am, followed by a one-way traffic system from Puncak to Jakarta.
During the restriction, vehicles will be prohibited from entering the Puncak route via the Puncak Toll Gate from 6 pm onward. Alternative routes, including the Ciawi Toll exit, will remain accessible.
The Puncak route will be fully cleared of vehicles from 10 pm to 2.30 am, with officers enforcing traffic blockades at intersections leading to the area.
Traffic measures such as an Odd-Even Plate System and one-way arrangements will be in place during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Tourists are urged to cooperate and plan accordingly to avoid disruptions.
