Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Traffic Corps has designated Operation Ketupat 2026 as a humanitarian mission focused on the safety and security of homebound travelers during the upcoming Eid al-Fitr season.

Speaking in Jakarta on Saturday (28/2/2026), Traffic Corps Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho said that the operation extends beyond traffic management to ensure public order and crime prevention.

"Homecoming is a family story; our duty is to guard it. Mudik is not just about the journey, but about returning home safely," he said as reported by antaranews.com

Under the tagline "Safe Mudik, Happy Family," police will focus on five critical clusters: toll roads, national highways, ferry ports, places of worship, and tourist destinations.

Chief Agus instructed officers to deploy early and remain on duty until the final traveler returns, stressing the importance of synergy with inter-agency stakeholders.
