Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) has provided their initial findings on the case of voter’s confidential data leak to General Election Commission (KPU) and Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Unit.
“BSSN has given the initial investigation and digital forensic result reports to the officials,” says BSSN spoke person Ariandi Putra on Monday (12/4/2023).
Ariandi explains that the report include the analysis and digital forensic of the app and the server.
“BSSN will continue to coordinate with KPU and INP Cyber Criminal Investigation Unit in effort to provide digital space security during 2024 General Election,” Ariandi states firmly.
Previously, an account with the username of Jimbo posted in BreachForums of his breach on KPU voter’s confidential data and intent to exchange the data for money.
The confidential data includes the details of the voter’s name, Population Identification Number (NIK), date of birth, and address. Jimbo sold the leaked data for 2 BTC or IDR 1.14 billion.
