Inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. The President Director of state logistics agency Perum Bulog, Major General Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, reiterated that the government’s rice aid program, comprising 10-kilogram rice packages and the Rice Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) program, will not be distributed to individuals involved in online gambling or terrorism.
“We ensure that individuals engaged in online gambling or radical terrorism are not eligible to receive this food aid. The rules are clear on this,” he said after distributing rice aid in Tangerang Regency on Saturday (2/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
To ensure accurate targeting, Bulog relies on verified data to identify individuals unqualified for the program. It also uses a dedicated digital system where each recipient has a barcode that must be scanned and matched with their national ID card .
“If someone has the barcode and is registered as a beneficiary, it means they’ve been verified and are cleared,” he explained.
Bulog has also coordinated with law enforcement, including the military and police, to supervise the distribution and prevent misuse of the aid.
Bulog has been tasked with distributing 1.3 million tons of rice nationwide for the June and July 2025 period. The aid aims to curb food price hikes amid economic pressures.
The SPHP program is designed to maintain rice affordability, with a maximum retail price of Rp 12,500 per kilogram or Rp 62,500 for a 5-kilogram pack.
