Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia is partnering with Australia to accelerate its digital transformation agenda, aiming for the digital economy to contribute 19% to the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 2045.
The collaboration is part of the Prospera bilateral program, supported by the Australian Government through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Minister of Communication and Digital, Meutya Hafid, met with Prospera Deputy Director Della Temenggung in Jakarta on Friday to discuss the strategic roadmap.
“To achieve a 19% digital GDP contribution, we must master digital technologies and governance,” she said in a statement on Saturday (2/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Indonesia has set its sights on becoming one of the world’s five largest economies by 2045, with digital transformation playing a critical role in reforming both the economy and public administration.
Minister Meutya emphasized two strategic pillars in the collaboration: strengthening digital governance and policy direction, and mapping and enhancing the Ministry’s internal capabilities.
