Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Yogyakarta. A day ahead of 2021 Eid-al-Adha celebration, Yogyakarta Regional Police handed over 16 calf and 11 lamb to representatives of Qurban (Islamic Sacrifice Ritual) recipients on Promoter Building yard of Yogyakarta Regional Police, Monday (07/19/2021).
Symbolically, Deputy Chief of Yogyakarta Regional Police, Police Brigadier General Slamet Santoso handed over one cow from Chief of Yogyakarta Regional Police to Bumi Damai Orphanage and continued to hand over the Qurban animals to other recipients.
Deputy Chief of Yogyakarta Regional Police mentioned in this current Covid-19 pandemic situation, it is expected the Qurban animals would bring joy to the recipients.
“We have handed over one Qurban animal from Chief of Yogyakarta Regional Police to Bumi Damai Orphanage, with other dozen Qurban animals. We hope the Qurban animals bring joyful during this Covid-19 pandemic,” Deputy Chief of Yogyakarta Regional Police explained.
At the same time, the Head of Pubic Affairs of Yogyakarta Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Yuliyanto added, dozens of animals, apart from the Bumi Damai Orphanage, were also handed over to several Islamic boarding schools and mosques around Yogyakarta Regional Police.
"I hope this Qurban animals can be useful for the community," Head of Pubic Affairs of Yogyakarta Regional Police explained.
