North Sulawesi Regional Police distributed social assistance (bansos) to communities affected by the Implementation of Micro PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions), Monday (07/19/2021) morning. Deputy Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Brigadier General Rudi Darmoko, with High Rank Officers of North Sulawesi Regional Police directly distributed the packages.
Deputy Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police said, target recipients of this assistance were residents who were economically affected by Covid-19 pandemic. Also those who are affected by the implementation of micro PPKM.
"We distributed them to residents in three fishing villages around Manado City, in Malalayang Dua, Bahu Village and Sario Tumpaan," Deputy Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police explained, Monday (07/19/2021).
The one-star general said the social assistance distributed was in the form of nine-basic-needs (sembako). It is expected this assistance can ease community burden.
"Total, there are 1,100 packages of nine-basic-needs distributed by North Sulawesi Regional Police and City Resort and Resort Police under its region. Target beneficiaries are fishers, street vendors, motorcycle taxi drivers, and other communities," Deputy Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police explained.
Given the development of current situation where spread of Covid-19 has increased significantly, including in North Sulawesi region, Deputy Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police advised public to continue to comply with health protocols by wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, reducing mobility and increasing immunity.
"We also urge all businesses to comply with Governor of North Sulawesi's circular letter regarding the anticipation of the increasing of Covid-19 spread. Especially in terms of limiting community mobility, as well as limiting the operational time of bussiness place," Deputy Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police explained.
