inp.polri.go.id - Central Aceh. Central Aceh Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Muhammad Taufik, once again demonstrated the police's commitment to assisting disaster-affected communities by leading a community service personnel and health units in three isolated villages in Bintang District, Central Aceh Regency, on Friday, January 9, 2026.
The three villages targeted were Jamur Konyel Village, Atu Payung Village, and Serule Village. To date, all three villages remain isolated due to flash floods and landslides that had closed the main roads.
To reach the locations, he and his entourage had to navigate extreme terrain and severely damaged roads on dirt bikes. The group departed from the headquarters at around 10:00 a.m. and arrived in Serule Village at 6:10 p.m.
During the activity, Taufik distributed logistical aid in the form of basic food packages and provided free health services to the disaster-affected community.
The arrival of his entourage was enthusiastically welcomed by the community, especially children, despite the limitations still felt after the disaster.
Taufik emphasized that the Indonesian National Police will continue to be present among the community, especially during emergencies and post-disaster situations.
"Although access to the location is very difficult, we ensure that people in isolated areas will still be able to receive assistance and health services," he emphasized.
Meanwhile, the local government has deployed three units of heavy equipment to reopen roads blocked by landslide material. The Central Aceh Sub-regional Police will continue to monitor and provide assistance until conditions and access to the area return to normal.
