inp.polri.go.id - Padang. Vice Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto fully supports the steps of regional heads to criminalize administrators of mass organizations who disturb the community.

"The Ministry of Home Affairs supports the firm stance of regional heads against mass organizations that cross the line. Bring them to justice asthey can be included in criminal offenses," said Bima Arya Sugiarto in Padang City, West Sumatra Province, Thursday (5/28/2025).

According to Bima, if there is sufficient evidence and a strong legal basis, then the administrators or the mass organization itself can be criminalized. In fact, he also supports disbandment if the actions of the mass organization have disturbed public order or threatened public safety.

For example, the case of a mass organization that controls land belonging to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) in South Tangerang. The Ministry of Home Affairs fully supports the attitude of the regional head to take firm steps in that case.

"Because their actions (mass organizations) are not only disturbing the public but also affect investment and economic growth," he said.

On that occasion, Bima Arya explained that the Ministry of Home Affairs only has the authority related to the cancellation of the registration status of mass organizations. Meanwhile, the dissolution of mass organizations is entirely under the authority of the Ministry of Law.
