Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Officers from the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police demonstrated a humanist approach by distributing mineral water and bread to demonstrators gathering at the South National Museum (Monas) area in Central Jakarta on Monday (28/9/2026).

The refreshments were handed out during the security operation for a peaceful demonstration conducted by the Regional Executive Board of the Tiger NGO (DPW LSM Harimau) Jakarta.

Central Jakarta t Police Chief Senior Superintendent Dr. Reynold E.P. Hutagalung said that the initiative aimed to foster positive communication while ensuring that citizens could express their aspirations safely and comfortably.

"In addition to maintaining order, officers directly distributed drinking water and bread to participants. This simple gesture reflects our care and commitment to open communication with the public," he said.

Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police Head of Public Relations Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto noted that field officers were instructed to prioritize professional, polite, and humanist conduct throughout the assignment. He added that police remain committed to safeguarding freedom of expression while ensuring public security across the capital.
