Inp.polri.go.id – Central Kalimantan. To prevent the emergence of social conflicts, Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General Djoko Poerwanto led Coordination Meeting of Social Conflict Prevention Task Force at Arya Dharma Hall on Thursday (12/14/2023).
In his opening remarks, Djoko states social conflicts are one of the threats for public safety and security.
“Social conflicts could be triggered by various factors, internally or externally. That is why we need prevention measures to anticipate it from happening. By detecting it early, we have plenty of time to overcome the issues with cool head and properly,” explains Djoko.
He says the efforts in stopping conflicts are by blocking conflict escalations and post-conflicts recovery through reconciliation, rehabilitation, and reconstruction. Djoko adds that definitely all of these efforts would involve related stakeholders comprehensively.
At the same, Central Kalimantan Regional Police PR Chief, Senior Superintendent Erlan Munaji, states that through the meeting, guests and participants could share information to improve social conflict resolve in realizing election safety and security.
By the end of the meeting, Erlan invites all participant to support and monitor the 2024 General Election to realize an honest, fair, secure, and peaceful election.
