"Crime (total crime) has decreased, with a crime clearance of more than 100 percent," said the Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Police Inspector General Mohammad Fadil Imran, during the 2021 Final Meeting at Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Thursday (30/12/2021).
"This means that all cases that have been submitted to the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police have been followed up to the maximum," he added.
The former Chief of East Java Regional Police later revealed that five trending cases often occur in the capital, including Narcotics, Weighted Theft, Motor Vehicle Theft, Persecution, and Cyber Crime.
Meanwhile, throughout 2021, there were 3,469 drug cases. The drugs found consisted of 1.57 tons of methamphetamine, 250.16 kg of gorilla tobacco, 21 litres of narcotic liquid vape and 802 sheets of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide.
"Then there are 1,419 theft cases and 949 theft cases throughout 2021," he explained.
Meanwhile, there were 718 cases of abuse that occurred in 2021. Followed by cybercrimes through social media with 762 cases and resolved 466 cases.
