The joint personnel of Indonesian Military Force (TNI) – Indonesian National Police (INP) held security patrols on the night after the voting day around Kupang City on Thursday (2/14/2024). Led by Police Senior Inspector Angripa Tefnai, joint personnel of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police members and IX Udayana Military Police Detachment of TNI patrols around the strategic locations in Kupang City, from NTT Regional Police HQ to NTT General Election Commission (KPU) and Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) offices. The patrol aims to review the social activity and monitor the traffic situation around the city. The activity, said Angripa Tefnai, said that the initiative taken by the joint team was part of Turangga Mantap Brata Operation to create a conducive, safe, and secure conditions in support of smooth election process. On the other hand, NTT Regional Police PR Division, Senior Superintendent Ariasandy explains that the aim for the patrol is to strengthen the security for the 2024 election organizers and its process. The patrol was monitored by Turangga Mantap Brata Operation Post to ensure regional security remains conducive and safe during the voting and recapitulation process in Kupang City. (ad/pt/pr/nm)
