Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo says the congestion in Cilegon, where travelers go to Merak, is due to the passenger loading and unloading process. The congestion is also due to an unbalanced queue in the Bakauheni Port Exit.
“We have evaluated the queue in Merak as we have prepared 10 locations in Merak, while there are seven in Bakauheni. However, it is not enough as there are still many queuing,” explained General Sigit after sending off 2024 Precision Police Free Homecoming Program in Monas.
He explained that his party also discussed the issue with all police divisions to quickly resolve the queuing issue.
Furthermore, Sigit pushed for the passenger loading and unloading process to prevent long queues.
“We hope that we can resolve the issue in the near future. What is clear is that we have found the core problem and we will soon resolve it,” conclude General Sigit.
