Inp.polri.go.id - Karawang. Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps and PT Jasa Marga have ended the contraflow traffic scheme on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, following a significant easing of vehicle congestion during the Islamic New Year and school holiday period.
Contraflow had been implemented between KM 55 and KM 65 towards Cikampek to manage heavy traffic. By 3:33 pm on Friday (17/6/2025), traffic had normalized in both directions, prompting the suspension of the scheme under police discretion.
"Traffic has returned to normal across the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road," said Ria Marlinda Paallo, the VP Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, as quoted by antaranews.com.
She reminded toll users to prioritize safety, ensure vehicle readiness, maintain sufficient fuel and e-toll balance, and follow signage and instructions from officers.
PT Jasa Marga estimates that between June 26–29, 2025, over 1.22 million vehicles will move in and out of Greater Jakarta—up 14.9% from normal levels—through the main toll gates: Cikupa, Ciawi, Cikampek Utama, and Kalihurip Utama.
