inp.polri.go.id – Sleman. Yogyakarta Regional Police Chief (Kapolda DIY) Inspector General Drs. Asep Suhendar, M.Sc., along with the main officials of the Yogyakarta Regional Police (Polda DIY) met with community leaders and elders representing the Maluku, NTT, and Papuan people in Yogyakarta. This is part of an effort to end the violence in Babarsari, Sleman.
"In this meeting the Police Chief asked each party to cool down their people and entrust the handling of cases to the DIY Police," explained the Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda DIY, Commissioner Yuliyanto, S.I.K., M.Sc.
East Indonesian community leaders who attended the meeting, includes, Drs John S. Keban (NTT), Daniel Damaledo SE, MA (NTT), Hillarius Ngaji Merro SH (NTT), Dr Jacky Latupeirissa MA (Maluku), Kristovel SE (Maluku), Pastor Beny Dimara (Papua), and Renaldy (Papua). "Let's work together to maintain the conduciveness of DIY," added Kabid Humas Polda DIY.
Meanwhile, the Director of General Criminal Investigation Unit of Polda DIY, Commissioner H. Ade Ary Syam Indradi, S.H., S.I.K., M.H., said that Polda DIY will handle the case according to the applicable law. So that the individual from each party involved will be processed legally and fairly.
"Therefore, each party should be proactive in assisting Polda DIY in accelerating the handling of the case," explained Commissioner H. Ade Ary Syam Indradi Police.
