The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. H. Joko Widodo, also buys several items from market traders such as bananas, peanuts, chilies, and various other agricultural products. "President Jokowi bought our chili. We would like to say thank you to President Jokowi for his attention and care to the community, especially the people of Alasa," said a trader.
A banana seller named Dasimalahagu also felt happy because his merchandise was bought by Jokowi. "The price for the banana is Rp5,000, but President Jokowi buys it for R 50,000. I am really grateful for what he did to us," he said.
The assistance provided by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, who is usually called Jokowi, is the assistance for the Family Hope Program (PKH). Jokowi hopes that the recipients will use the assistance for additional business capital or to buy basic necessities.
"Not to buy new phones alright?” said Jokowi jokingly. “Used it for additional business capital, and for the additional Rp300,000, you can use it to buy foods, cooking oil, etc., it's okay," said Jokowi.
During this visit, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. H.
