Inp.polri.go.id - Purwakarta. A predawn collision involving two intercity buses and a minibus on the Cipali Toll Road in West Java left five people dead and 38 others injured early Tuesday (18/11/2025). 

The accident occurred at Kilometer 72 in Purwakarta Regency as the vehicles were traveling from Cirebon toward Jakarta.

“The crash happened at around 2.30 am. We are investigating the cause,” Purwakarta Sub-regional Police Chief Superintendent I Dewa Putu Gede Anom Danujaya, as cited by antaranews.com.

Police reported that a Agra Mas  bus suddenly struck a Sinar Jaya bus ahead of it, causing the second bus to crash into a Daihatsu Gran Max minibus before veering into a roadside ditch. The fatalities included two Agra Mas passengers and three Gran Max occupants. All victims were transported to Abdul Radjak Hospital Purwakarta, where emergency teams treated dozens of wounded passengers.

Authorities are examining CCTV footage and questioning witnesses as part of the ongoing probe into one of the region’s deadliest road incidents this year.
