inp.polri.go.id – Jambi. The Jambi Regional Police has just received an official report from a victim of a fraudulent case of selling a house under the guise of Sharia by a Diamond Residence housing developer located in Kenali, Kota Baru, Jambi, with a total of 40 victims and an estimated loss of IDR 1.6 billion.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Jambi Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Kaswandi Irwan said he could not comment on this case because the report had just been received.

Later, when the reports of the victims have been completed, I will publish the case. At this time, investigators are still receiving reports from the victims, explained the Director-General of the Jambi Regional Police.

Meanwhile, dozens of Jambi City residents who were victims of fraudulent housing developers under the guise of Sharia have reported their cases, and there are an estimated 40 people who became victims with losses ranging from IDR 20 million to IDR 120 million.

From information from Ita Rosita, representatives of the victims who had reported this case to the Jambi Regional Police said the total loss of the victims reached IDR 1.6 billion, and 40 people were known to have been victims of the developer.

"For certain data, there have been 40 victims, and on average, if there is a credit, there are those who make a down payment of IDR 25 million with monthly instalments of IDR 1 million, and there are those who buy it in full or cash around IDR 90 million," explained the Jambi Regional Police's Directorate of Criminal Investigation.

The number of victims could still increase because it is estimated that there are still victims who live outside the city of Jambi and have not been re-recorded. The total money that came in was IDR 900 million from customers who bought their houses on credit and IDR 700 million from cash customers.

Rosita admitted that she suffered a loss of more than IDR 60 million, with an initial down payment of IDR 25 million, then she paid instalments of IDR 1 million per month for ten years, while the instalments entered the 17th month. She realized that she had become a victim after the housing party did not finish building his house.

Meanwhile, another victim named Amiati said she had made a report to the Jambi Regional Police. last Tuesday (11/09), and the police have asked for a statement. He suffered a loss of IDR 36 million for buying a house at Berlian Residence.

Earlier, we were asked for information on fraud and embezzlement, and later we had to present witnesses from my family that I had a credit contract there. "Hopefully, the case can be resolved quickly and can be handled by the Jambi Regional Police," he explained while still at the Jambi Regional Police Headquarters.
