Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. Indonesian National Police extends the 2021 Ketupat Operation, which will continue to KRYD until May 24th, 2021. In Bali, Director of Police Traffic Corps of Bali Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Indra, confirms it. According to him, KRYD enforcement has the same pattern with the insulation effort during the 2021 Ketupat Operation during the homecoming prohibition period from May 6th to 17th, 2021. "On May 17th to 24th, we will conduct KRYD and keep the insulation checkpoints active", the Director of Police Traffic Corps of Bali Regional Police said Friday (14/5/2021). During the KRYD period, officers in Gilimanuk and Padangbai harbours and I Gusti Ngurah Rai airport will check vehicles and people entering Bali. "The pattern is similar to before the enforcement of 2021 Ketupat Operation. We will check all vehicles and people entering Bali from three gateways of Bali: Gilimanuk (harbour), Padangbai (harbour), and Ngurah Rai airport", Director of Police Traffic Corps of Bali Regional Police said. People are deemed eligible to enter Bali during KRYD enforcement if they bring Covid-19 Free Statement. This statement is obtained from the negative Covid-19 test and valid for 24 hours since the test day. "They have to bring the (Covid-19 free) statement that valid for 24 hours", Police Grand Commissioner Indra said. Previously, Chief of Operations of Police Traffic Corps of Indonesian National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Rudy Antariksawan, stated that the travel limitation would be kept even though the 2021 Ketupat Operation is planned to end on the weekend and not applicable on Monday, May of 17th, 2021. Chief of Operations stated that the Ketupat Operation would be continued as KRYD. "Ketupat Operation will be finished on May 17th, 2021 and continues as KRYD until May 24th, 2021", Rudy said on Friday (14/5/2021). Chief of Operations explained that KRYD would still provide a penalty of turning around for home comers vehicles after the Eid holiday. Chief of Operations also added that home comers vehicles going to the insulation checkpoints would be turned around until May 24th, 2021. "Yes, vehicles would be asked to turn around during KRYD", he concludes.
