inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Ahmad Sahroni, appreciated the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo for removing and prosecuting the former Ngada Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Fajar Widyadharma Lukman Sumaatmadja who was involved in a drug and sexual harassment case.
Sahroni, considered the move taken by INP Chief to be a firm action.
"I appreciate this super firm action, especially since it was directly taken by the Chief of Police," said Sahroni on Thursday (3/13/2025).
He reminded that there should be a preventive policy so that similar problems do not recur. Sahroni requested that the promotion process be carried out strictly.
"However, the most important thing about this incident is how the Chief of Police has a preventive policy so that similar problems do not happen again," continues Sahroni.
The matter in discussion was that the promotion process must be carried out with strict procedures, making sure the prospective officials of INP are clear in drug tests and pass the psychology test.
As is known, former Ngada Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Fajar Widyadharma Lukman Sumaatmaja was named a suspect in a drug and immoral case. He is currently being held at the INP Criminal Investigation Unit.
