Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Jakarta – Indonesian National Police (INP) reunited a 9-year-old girl, a victim of severe child abuse, with her twin sister and biological father in an emotional meeting at a Jakarta social shelter on Friday (26/9/2025.
The girl, identified as AMK, was found in June 2025 in South Jakarta with multiple injuries, sparking a high-profile investigation.
“This is not only a legal matter, but also a humanitarian one. We are committed to delivering justice and ensuring the child grows up in a safe and loving environment,” said Brigadier General Nurul Azizah, the Director of the Women and Children Protection and Human Trafficking Unit at the INP Criminal Investigation Agency, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Investigators traced her family using fragments of memory about her school, eventually confirming her identity and locating her twin sister, identified as ASK.
Police have detained her mother, identified as SNK, and the mother’s partner EF, accusing them of carrying out the child abuse. Authorities pledged continued psychological, medical, and social support for the girl while urging the public to report signs of child abuse.
