Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Minister Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia said on Thursday (2/10/2025) that data on recipients of the 3-kg LPG subsidy is being finalized, responding to concerns raised by Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa over the high cost of energy subsidies.
“Regarding subsidies and a single dataset, it is in the process of finalization,” he said after attending the new logo launch of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) in Jakarta, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Minister Bahlil explained that the Energy Ministry is collaborating with the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) to consolidate data from the Ministry of Social Affairs, PT PLN, PT Pertamina, and other stakeholders. The goal is to prevent overlap and ensure subsidies reach the intended beneficiaries. Once data is complete, the government will announce the subsidy scheme and list of recipients.
In 2024, LPG 3-kg subsidies cost the state Rp 80.2 trillion, benefiting 41.5 million households, while Pertalite fuel subsidies amounted to Rp 56.1 trillion for 157.4 million vehicles.
