Ensuring All Collaboration in Handling Covid-19, Regional Police Chief and High Rank Executives of Riau's Regional Police Visit Community Health Centers in Pekanbaru

Riau's Regional Police Chief, Police Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi, conducted a review at the Simpang Baru and West Sidomulyo Community Health centres (Puskesmas), Pekanbaru City, Riau, on Saturday (05/22/2021). During the review, the Riau Police Chief was accompanied by the Deputy Head of Riau's Regional Police, Pol. Brigadier General Tabana Bangun, Riau Regional Police's Head of PR, Pol. Grand Commissioner Sunarto, Directorate of Community Development, Pol. Grand Commissioner Kris Pramono, Chief of Pekanbaru's Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Nandang Mu'min Wijaya, City Government Assistant of Pekanbaru. "We want to ensure that the handling of Covid-19, we are working together. Police, Indonesian National Army, health officials and local governments all have to collaborate," said the Riau Police Chief. Moreover, Tampan District is a red zone for the spread of Covid-19 in Pekanbaru City. The Riau's Regional Police Chief said that his party wanted to ensure that all could work optimally. Currently there are three activities that are also being focused, including testing, tracing, and treatment. "I saw earlier there was also vaccination (at the Community Health Center). For the Mayor (Pekanbaru), we support in being able to complete the vaccination of 50 thousand doses of vaccine in one week," explained the Riau Police Chief. We also do tracing to residents who are not feeling well, or have close contact (with Covid-19 victims ). We are testing today with an antigen swab. Regarding the results, the head of the puskesmas will take steps," he added. For example, based on the results of the antigen swab test at the Simpang Baru Community Health Center, it was found that 2 people were positive for Covid-19. The two of them were immediately referred to the hospital and Health Implementation Hall to undergo isolation. The two residents, one person is known to have just returned from the West Sumatra area, while the other is in close in contact with Covid-19 victims. He said, not only two Community Health Centers were of concern, but all, namely 21 Community Health Centers in Pekanbaru, including 87 posts for the Enforcement of Micro Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). Regional Police Chief asked the public to obey the rules that have been made because Pekanbaru City is currently in the red zone.
