inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Home Affairs, through the Directorate General of Regional Administration Development, and the Ministry of Environment/Environmental Control Agency (KLH/BPLH), have prepared the basis for implementing the Clean Indonesia National Movement (GNIB) and achieving the Clean Indonesia 2029 target.
Adwil Amran, Director of Regions, Urban Areas, and National Borders at the Directorate General of Regional Administration Development, stated that this program is not merely a ceremonial activity, but rather a collective movement that fosters clean behavior at home, school, workplace, and public spaces.
"This program strengthens a culture of cleanliness and health as part of everyday life," said Director Amran, Wednesday (10/22/2025).
The Ministry of Home Affairs and the KLH have also finalized a Joint Decree (SKB) between the two ministries concerning the Implementation of the National Clean Program (Probernas).
This SKB will subsequently be signed and serve as the basis for implementing the Clean Indonesia National Movement (GNIB), a manifestation of the government's commitment to fostering a culture of clean and healthy living across all levels of society.
The National Clean Program aligns with the Government's Astacita and the President's priority program to preserve the environment. This initiative directly responds to the President's directives on waste and river management, the elimination of illegal advertising, and the provision of adequate toilets and sanitation in public facilities.
The Joint Decree establishes Probernas as a national movement that encourages changes in public behavior toward a clean, healthy, and orderly environment.
To implement it, a Probernas National Task Force will be established, consisting of representatives from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Its work areas include waste cleanup education, toilet cleanup, advertising regulation, communication, and inter-agency cooperation.
