Failed the Circulation of 1,129 tons of Crystal Meth on the International Network, the Directorate General of Police Appreciates the National Police

The Directorate General of Corrections (Ditjenpas) appreciates the success of the National Police in disclosing the distribution of 1,129 tons of Crystal Meth in the Middle East and Africa (Nigeria) network. Director General of Corrections (Dirjenpas), Reynhard Silitonga, said that the successful disclosure of international drug trafficking is the result of synergy between law enforcement officers, especially the National Police. "Through the three keys to advanced correctional facilities, we are focused on eradicating drugs in prisons and state detention centers and synergizing with other law enforcement officers (APHs). So we are very open to cooperation and actively contribute in uncovering drug trafficking," said the Director General of Police, Monday (06/14). According to the Director General of Corrections, the disclosure began with an analysis conducted by the Directorate General of Corrections with the Jakarta Police's Drug Case Disclosure Task Force Team on international syndicate networks that had been previously disclosed over the past month. "We are committed to continuing to synergize in breaking the chain of drug trafficking. We will communicate the information needed regarding the disclosure of narcotics trafficking with other law enforcement officers as a form of correctional contribution," explained the Director General of Corrections. From the disclosure of the Middle East-Africa drug network, it is estimated that the value of the evidence reached Rp. 1,694 trillion and if circulated it could be consumed by around 5.6 million peoples. Meanwhile, throughout 2020 correctional officers succeeded in making 215 failures, and throughout 2021, 68 failures were made. For his actions, the perpetrators are now charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) subsidiary Article 115 paragraph (2) more subsidiary Article 112 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with threats a minimum sentence of six years and a maximum sentence of death.
