Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A viral Facebook post claiming that the Ministry of Social Affairs is distributing Rp 1.5 million in social assistance via a registration link is a hoax. The link directs users to an unofficial website requiring them to input their full names and Telegram numbers to verify their eligibility.

Through its official Instagram account, @kemensosri, the Ministry warned the public about the rising number of social assistance scams using its name. 

The public is urged not to easily trust accounts or parties claiming to represent the Ministry of Social Affairs. The ministry advised citizens to always verify information through official government channels.
