Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa pledged to resolve the ongoing problems with the Directorate General of Taxes’ Coretax system within one month.
“I will review the Coretax system. Any delays will be fixed as soon as possible, within a month,” he said at the September 2025 edition of the APBN KiTa press conference on Monday (22/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
To accelerate the process, the minister plans to bring in external IT specialists to support improvements. At the same event, Director General of Taxes Bimo Wijayanto confirmed that the system is undergoing active maintenance, including scheduled downtime last weekend, to ensure stability.
“Coretax is a massive system with a wide reach. We are now in the stabilization stage, and it will keep improving,” Bimo explained, adding that the system should be more stable by the 2025–2026 tax year transition.
Deputy Finance Minister Anggito Abimanyu also noted that Coretax is central to boosting state revenue efficiency, allowing the government to avoid imposing new taxes on citizens.
