Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Finance has unveiled detailed information on the increase in salaries for civil servants and basic pensions for pensioners, effective from March 2024, antaranews.com reported. "The adjustment of basic salaries and pensions is expected to enhance the performance and welfare of civil servants and members of the military and the police and pensioners, as well as to ensure the effective implementation of bureaucratic reform transformation, creating a central and regional bureaucracy that is efficient, competent, professional, and full of integrity," said Director-General of Treasury Astera Primanto Bhakti on Thursday (1/2/2024). In general, the  salary increase is 8 percent for civil servants, members of the military and the police, and 12 percent for pensioners. This adjustment in basic salaries and pensions followed a periodic evaluation by the government. Civil servants, military soldiers, police members, and special units (PPPK) can request payment for March 2024 with the new basic salary and any salary shortages for January and February 2024 from the State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) starting Thursday. Pensioners, recipients of honorary allowances, and pioneers of the national and independence movement will gradually receive payments through PT Taspen and PT Asabri. "We hope that this adjustment in basic salaries and pensions will not only positively impact the welfare and performance of civil servants and pensioners but will also provide a multiplier effect for the economic engine," said Astera.
