Inp.polri.go.id - Bandarlampung. Police Senior Inspector Andri Gustami, Former Head of the South Lampung Sub-Regional Police Narcotics Unit, has been facing charges for allegedly receiving Rp 1.34 billion for escorting narcotics linked to the drug network of Fredy Pratama.
During the trial, it was disclosed that he allegedly facilitated eight drug transports for Pratama's drug network through Bakauheni Port in South Lampung. Out of these operations, 150 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 2,000 ecstasy pills were reported to remain unaccounted for.
"In exchange for assisting in the transportation of methamphetamine and ecstasy for the drug trafficking syndicate led by Fredy Pratama, the defendant received a total of IDR 1,220,000,000 and an additional IDR 120,000,000 through BCA accounts," prosecutor Eka S. said at the Tanjungkarang District Court in Bandarlampung on Monday (23/10/23).
Between May and June 2023, three bank accounts received money: one under the name of Selva, another under Eko Dwi Prasetio, and the third under Sopiah, he said. This money was used to buy a silver Ford Ranger double cabin vehicle with police registration number B 9250 KSW, costing IDR 180,000,000. Additionally, around IDR 100,000,000 was spent on vehicle modifications and maintenance, and IDR 303,825,000 was used for daily office expenses.
The remaining money in the bank account was IDR 756,175,000, antaranews.com reported.
As a result of these actions, the defendant is facing charges under specific articles of Law Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotics and the Criminal Code.
