Inp.polri.go.id - Sigi. The Central Sulawesi Regional Police’sh Operation Madago Raya Task Force, has distributed farming tools and corn seeds to former radical sympathizers in Pombewe village, Biromaru subdistrict, Sigi, Central Sulawesi.
“This program is a direct instruction from the Central Sulawesi Police Chief as Madago Raya Commander to help ex-sympathizers build economic independence and become more productive in society,” said Senior Superintendent Heni Agus Sunandar, the Head of Madago Raya Operations, on Sunday (28/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
The aid followed a loyalty pledge to Indonesia made by two former sympathizers on 17 August 2025, during the nation’s 80th Independence Day commemoration in Poso. Police described the initiative as both state recognition and a step in deradicalization efforts.
The program includes corn planting as a symbol of new livelihood development. Authorities expect the initiative to support national agricultural goals while reinforcing social reintegration and resilience against radical influences.
