inp.polri.goo.id - Jakarta. The Patrol Team from Unit IV of the Gasum Sub-Directorate, Samapta Directorate, Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, arrested six young men suspected of being involved in a brawl on Radar Auri Street, Cimanggis District, Depok City, early Wednesday (7/15/2026).
The patrol was carried out to anticipate brawls, illegal street racing, street crime, and other disturbances to public order and security within Jakarta.
The patrol began at around 12:30 a.m. Senior Superintendent Wahyu Dwi Ariwibowo, Director of Samapta, stated that the early morning patrol was part of the Jakarta Guard Patrol, which is routinely conducted to maintain a safe and conducive situation.
"This patrol is carried out to provide a sense of security to the public, especially during times when public order and security disturbances such as brawls, illegal street racing, and street crime are prone to occur," said Wahyu in a written statement on Thursday (7/16/2026).
He further explained that at around 2:47 a.m. a patrol team received a public report regarding an alleged brawl between groups around Radar Auri street, Cimanggis, Depok.
Upon receiving the report, personnel proceeded to the location to conduct an inspection, take action, and conduct a sweep.
He explained that during the search, officers apprehended six youths suspected of involvement in the brawl. The patrol team also confiscated four sharp weapons as evidence.
The six youths and the evidence were then handed over to the police for further investigation and development. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police also urged the public, especially parents, to improve supervision of their children, especially at night and early morning.
"The public is also asked to immediately report to officers or contact the police hotline 110 if they witness any potential brawls, illegal racing, or other disturbances to public order and security," he said.
