Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa announced on Friday (13/2/2026) hat the government has earmarked Rp 55 trillion for the 2026 Holiday Allowance, broadly known as THR, for civil servants, military and police members. 

This year's allocation recorded a significant 10.22% increase from the previous year, with the goal of disbursing funds as early as the beginning of the fasting month Ramadan to stimulate consumer spending.

"We hope to distribute the THR at the start of the fasting month," Minister Purbaya said after attending the Indonesia Economic Outlook 2026, as reported by antaranews.com. "Our projection for government spending in the first quarter reaches Rp809 trillion, which includes these bonuses, the Free Nutritious Meal program, and various stimulus packages."

The government is banking on this timely distribution to drive household consumption, which is expected to strengthen during the dual holiday momentum of Lunar New Year and Eid al-Fitr. 

With the support of these fiscal measures, the Ministry of Finance remains optimistic that economic growth in Q1-2026 could reach a robust 5.5% to 6%, effectively breaking the long-standing "5% growth curse."
