Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has officially announced that electricity tariffs for the second quarter in April to June)of 2026 will remain unchanged to stabilize household purchasing power and maintain industrial competitiveness as the nation prepares for the Eid al-Fitr festivities.
Despite fluctuations in global economic parameters, the government confirmed that both subsidized and the 13 non-subsidized customer categories will not see a price hike.
"The public does not need to worry; we have set the electricity tariff for the second quarter of 2026 to remain constant," said Tri Winarno, the Acting Director General of Electricity, on Tuesday (17/3/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com.
While the official formula, which considers the Rupiah exchange rate (Rp16,743.46/USD), Indonesian Crude Price ($62.78/barrel), and inflation, indicated a potential adjustment, the government opted for a freeze to ensure national economic stability.
State electricity firm PT PLN has been instructed to maintain supply reliability and operational efficiency throughout the peak holiday season.
